Goldfish on the Farm

Did you know that we keep goldfish in our water tanks to keep them nice and clean?

Most of our automatic waterers are covered and protected from the sun so they don’t have algae and yucky buildup like this one does. This tank fills automatically but is exposed to the sun all day.

Goldfish eat all that green garbage and help keep the tank clean for our girls out on the front pasture. We stocked this tank with goldfish early this summer but they all died when we pulled cows off of this pasture for several weeks (oops!).

I got tired of cleaning this tank so just popped a few more fish in. They will have this mess cleaned up in no time!
